Annual Fund Drive

The Snohomish Education Foundation is launching a new initiative this year; our Annual Fund Drive, to specifically support a new set of district-wide projects which will distinguish us from other school districts and make our community stand out.

Our "Biotech Pathway" students will perform actual cellular reserach, in partnership with scientists from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Reserch Center, contributing to the field of Global Health. The curriculum is in place, and includes impressive subjects such as biotechnology in cancer research, DNA manipulation, bioethices, and cellular immunology. With proper funding, we can start this ground-breaking program in September.

The Primary Goal for this year is to build upon the phenominal accomplishments of the "Machining Pathways Partnership" launched in 2004 by providing essentail seed money to start a second "Pathway" in biotechnology this fall.
